[Construction Example] FRP Boardwalk Oura Bay Mangrove Road

Strong against corrosion, easy to clean and maintain! Introducing examples of FRP boardwalk construction.

As one example of the installation of the "FRP Boardwalk," we introduce the "Wansaka Oura Park Mangrove Road" in Okinawa Prefecture. This observation path is located within Oura Bay, which has been designated as one of Japan's Important Wetlands 500 by the Ministry of the Environment. Here, you can see various species of wildlife in the rich mangrove forest and in accordance with the tidal changes of the lake. Due to its brackish water environment, FRP materials that are resistant to salt damage were used. They are also resistant to corrosion and easy to clean and maintain. In addition, there are many other installation examples, such as the Urasoe Great Park (No. 6 Walking Path) and the Sakishima Suo Tree (designated natural monument of Higashi Village) root protection deck. 【Overview】 ■ Wansaka Oura Park Mangrove Road ■ Okinawa Prefecture, constructed in March 2016 ■ W1.5・1.2m × L725.3m ■ Handrail: FRP extruded material ■ Decking: FRP extruded material ■ Structural material: FRP extruded material For more details, please refer to the catalog or feel free to contact us.

FRP Boardwalk: Construction Case Study of Raizan River

Lightweight and ultra-high! Introducing construction examples of FRP materials with excellent salt damage resistance and corrosion resistance!

We introduce "Raizan River" in Fukuoka Prefecture as an example of the construction of the "FRP Boardwalk." It is a waterfront deck located in a brackish water area in Maebaru City, Fukuoka Prefecture. Since rare plants inhabit the area, we selected materials to ensure sunlight reaches under the deck, and because it is a brackish water area, we chose materials to minimize buoyancy and prevent the structure from floating. Therefore, grating panels made of FRP pull-out material, which excels in salt damage resistance and corrosion resistance, were adopted. 【Construction Example】 ■ Fukuoka Prefecture ■ W1.5m × L13.8m *For more details, please refer to the catalog or feel free to contact us.
